I support and tattoo all kind humans.
I do not, and will not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia, body shaming, nor any form of hate.
Comments regarding any hate speech either in person or online will result in you being banned from my social media, as well as being tattooed by me.
Mental health awareness is something I am extremely passionate about, if anxiety is a concern for booking your appointment, or if there is anything I can do to further your comfort, please feel free to voice this via our emails or tattoo session.
Custom Drawings / Drafts:
I typically try to send out a draft of your custom design (if I have time) usually only the day before your appointment. This is to confirm you are content with the design I have drawn for you, as well as allowing for minor adjustments if requested. Many artists don’t send out drafts ahead of time, but it’s a curtesy I try to maintain. I do hope that if you are booking a custom design with me, it’s because you like my art style, and you’re looking for me to create something similar based on your ideas. If I think your concept is better suited for a different style, technique or artist, I will happily direct you to another artist.
I am very busy with balancing tattooing, scheduling and drawing times, as well as keeping my personal life in balance. I usually can’t work on a custom piece until I am home in the evening in my spare time, so your patience and trust with booking a custom design is greatly appreciated.
Most custom drafts are done in a rough form. The tattoo will always look different with specific shading and details added once tattooed.
If you are wanting bigger changes, or would like a redesign, I will require another deposit and to reschedule your appointment to allow myself time to redraw the concept or add additional details that compliments the flow of your design.
Your happiness with your tattoo is top priority, there is absolutely no pressure to get something tattooed on you forever that you do not 100% love. Please communicate with me your thoughts, but understand that It may take time to readjust your design.
Appointment Rescheduling:
Life do be happening sometimes. Some things are out of our control, and I understand that. Having said that, It is extremely difficult to fill the spot I have allotted for you with little notice.
If you are needing to reschedule in under 48 hours it will mean you are forfeiting your deposit. If you need to reschedule more than once, I will require a second deposit to continue to hold that spot for you.
Instagram and Boundaries:
**I do not book appointments or give quotes through DM’s**
Instagram is an essential tool I use for sharing my portfolio, as well as posting flash and sharing and supporting other artists. I do have boundaries in place with Instagram and how it affects my own personal health. I do enjoy sharing bits of my personal life, but at the end of the day, Instagram is part of my business. Being accessible 24/7 has huge effects on my mental health. I designate specific times during the week where I am in a space to answer, respond to and book appointments. Please do not send me a DM asking about an appointment or a quote UNLESS I have posted about a last minute appointment slot. Trying to book through DM’s for future appointments is very confusing for me and can get lost. All of my available flash pieces with their quoted prices are located on my available flash page. If I am not responding to your DMs, please understand it is not personal <3
Please use my intake form for inquires on all appointment bookings, flash, or getting a custom quote.
FAQs
Are handpokes / stick and pokes temporary?
Handpokes / stick and pokes last just as long as a machine tattoo, when done correctly. They are permanent.
I want my fingers tattooed. Will that still be permanent?
Fingers and feet are areas which are known to fade due to our daily use, especially if your job is actively working with your hands. While these areas are still considered permanent, you may find finger tattoos do tend to fade and wear down quickly. This doesn’t mean they always disappear completely. Keep in mind you may be looking at a regular touch up upkeep when committing to finger tattoos. I’m happy to do finger and hand tattoos, but do take this into consideration when thinking of getting them. I personally charge half my hourly add on rate for reoccurring finger and feet touch ups.
Where are you located?
I work out of a private studio in Gastown, for security reasons I provide my address upon booking an appointment with me.
Do you take card payments?
I take cash payments, and all card payments via Square (+5% GST)
How come you haven’t posted my tattoo on your Instagram / Website?
There are actually a lot of reasons on why I may not post your tattoo. One being I may not have gotten a good photo (I can tattoo, I cannot take photos, it’s a curse) or the tattoo itself may have been hard to photograph (wrapping designs, or a weird angle, etc). If you’ve been tattooed by me before, you know I try to take a million photos. Sometimes there’s only one or two good shots I get. I opt for posting photos of tattoos based on themes or subjects I want to do more of. This doesn’t mean i’m not proud or happy with the tattoo i’ve given you. I may also post your tattoo weeks or sometimes months later. Sometimes a custom tattoo may be quite personal, and I may choose to keep that private for the client and their experience.
What Is a Combination Tattoo?
A combination tattoo is a tattoo using both machine and handpoke techniques (usually Machine lines, handpoke dotwork). I am leaning into specializing in combination tats, so I will be offering much more of these in future flash pieces.
I’m nervous about getting tattooed / have sensory issues / I have more questions
Our studio is sensory friendly! We have fidget toys accessible, TV with access to Netflix, Crunchyroll and Prime video, and typically will have some chill music playing. We have client rights and affirmations on display right above our mirror to remind you at any time during your appointment.
We typically have some small snacks and juiceboxes in studio, but we always encourage you to bring personal snacks and waterbottles to your appointment.
We have AC during the summer, and our studio stays warm during the winter.
You can reach out and email me at any time with questions regarding a future tattoo appointment, aftercare questions, accessibility and accomodation or whatever else can ease your comfort while looking to book an appointment.
Your experience is important to me.
No question is too silly. It' is my priority to ensure my clients feel safe, comfortable heard and cared for.
Does Hand Poking hurt more?
Each person has a different pain tolerance on what they can handle and what they prefer the feeling of. Generally speaking, hand pokes are known to hurt a bit less, depending on the area.
How long will my appointment be?
. Depending on the design / style / placement / size, your appointment can be anywhere between 1 hour - 6 hours. Expect your appointment to be at minimum 1 hour, if it’s on the longer scale, bring a water bottle and some snacks.
Handpokes do have a tendency of taking longer than a machine tattoo, as they’re delicately poked dot by dot without a machine.
Do you charge a deposit / what are your rates?
I do take non-refundable deposit of $50 for small - mid size flash and $100 for bigger flash / customs that goes towards the total cost of your session. Flash are pre priced sliding scales via their general size estimate. Final quote is determined based on final chosen size / placement.
Deposits are accepted via E-transfer or Paypal for travelling clients.
My hourly rates for Customs start at $160 / hour.
Stomach, Rib and Torso Placements start at $180 / hour
Freehanding rates are $120 - $140 / hour depending on style and size / placement.
(Freehanded work includes fingers, fairy / space dust, dotwork vines, abstract bits etc)
I do offer promotional rates from time to time for styles I’d like to experiment with, or discounted flash.

I have a sensitivity / allergy to second skin. Can I still get a tattoo?
Of course! I have soaker pads we can opt for instead of the second skin, I have no problem providing that option for you. Opting for a soaker pad and plastic wrap will come with a bit of a different instruction, but basically you only keep this wrap on for a few hours (whereas second skin is a breathable waterproof bandage you can wear up to 2-5 days before removing) and then move on with the aftercare instructions.
For transparency, the brand of second skin I use to wrap a fresh tattoo is called Derm Sheild, which has a matte finish to it.
Tipping?
Tipping isn’t mandatory or expected, however it’s greatly appreciated. If you are keen on leaving a tip after your tattoo, tattoo tipping is similar to any service or hospitality standard
(15 - 20%)
I’m also happy receiving tips in other forms aside from cash (plants, snacks, nicknacks); you are never obligated or expected to bring anything extra to your appointment.
What days can I book with you?
I am currently available to take appointments Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays for private sessions.
Saturday appointments are available for folks who don’t mind sharing space with my co-artist and their clients.
I’m ready to book with you! How do I request an appointment?
Right here! Please fill out my enquiry form and i’ll get back to you quick as I can!
preparing for your appointment
Make sure to have a good nights rest the day before your appointment.
Make sure to eat something before you arrive, and you’re welcome to bring a snack or drink if it’s a long appointment.
Wear clothing that is easy to adjust on the area we will be tattooing, nothing tight or restricting. Sometimes bringing a change of clothes (ex/ shorts, tank top) for the tattooing process can help.
Please come alone to your appointment as our studio is small and private. If you would like to bring a friend or family member to meet me for safety reasons, that’s welcome. Please understand that they will not be able to stay during the appointment. There is lots to do around the area (coffee shops, book stores etc.) while they wait.
There is pay parking around the area depending on the time of your appointment, otherwise it is extremely transit accessible Via Chinatown station or Waterfront station.
If you’d like to bring headphones / earbuds to tune out, that is welcome.
We use a breathable bandage called Second Skin to wrap your new tattoo with. If you have any allergies to adhesives, or sensitive skin please let me know so we can use an alternative
Aftercare will be emailed along with a thank you after your appointment. I recommend picking up a non-scented soap like Doctor Bronner’s liquid castile blue label to wash your tattoo with over the next few weeks as it heals (You can find travel sizes at most drug stores in the travel section) as well as a non-scented lotion to moisturize your tattoo with when needed until the tattoo is fully healed.
Aftercare:
Leave your Saniderm on for anywhere between 2 - 5 days, depending on your skin.
You may notice the ink bleeding under the bandage, this is normal. It’s your body producing plasma to properly heal your tattoo.
If your skin becomes Irritated or reacts to the second skin (redness around the bandage, rash, or intense itchiness), remove it sooner than later and proceed with the aftercare instructions.
Cleaning:
1. Take the bandage off in the shower by lightly rolling a corner of the wrap with your finger, and then peeling back along your body gently. Give it a gentle wash to remove excess plasma with a gentle mild unscented soap. (Aquafor, Cetaphil, or dr. bronner’s pure castile body wash is recommended)
2. Pat dry your tattoo with a clean towel, or paper towel.
3. Moisturize your tattoo if your skin is dry, flakey or itchy while your tattoo is healing. A little goes a long way, do not over moisturize. Your tattoo needs to scab up and flake off naturally.
Ways to encourage a heathy healing:
always clean your hands before touching your healing tattoo.
keep the tattooed area protected from dirty environments to avoid infection.
Change your bedsheets often, specifically right after you get your tattoo.
Wear comfy loose fitting clothes around the tattooed area as it heals to avoid rubbing.
moisturize only when needed.
Avoid the following:
no picking, scratching or pulling off any of the scabs during the healing faze. You may end up scarring, infecting or pulling out ink.
Avoid direct sunlight on your tattoo (specifically in hot summer weather) as your tattoo heals. You cannot use sunblock over a healing tattoo as it may irritate it, and no one wants a sun burn on a healing tattoo.
Do not submerge in baths, saunas, hot tubs, pools / lakes / rivers until your tattoo has fully healed.
avoid harsh or scented cleansers, creams and lotions as these may irritate your healing tattoo.
avoid heavy sweating for the first 10 days - 2 weeks while your tattoo heals as sweating can have a tenancy of pushing out pigment. This includes Running, Biking, Hot Yoga, Heavy workouts.
Once Healed:
- You can continue to moisturize your fully healed tattoo. Happy skin is healthy skin, and healthy skin means healthy tattoo.
- During hot weather, layer your tattoo with sunscreen especially if you have colour pigments. Sun exposure over time will fade and discolour your tattoo.
- If you decide to get laser treatments (hair removal, resurfacing etc) in the future, inform your technician and continue at your discretion. Laser procedures may darken, lighten, or discolour your tattoo.
